OPENChannel is the Victorian Screen Resource Organisation funded by the Australian Film Commission and Film Victoria to assist in the development of a strong and vibrant Australian screen culture.

OPENChannel works with filmmakers and digital media practitioners at all stages in their development by providing production support, training, access to affordable equipment and a focus for networking. OPENChannel is a cooperative and functions as a community business. Customers are encouraged to become members and thereby become involved in the organisation. As a cooperative OPENChannel functions as a democractic organisation governed by an honorary Board elected by the membership.
In its 30 year history OPENChannel has made significant contributions toward the development of a more equitable society by assisting and enabling marginalized individuals and communities to tell their stories in their own voices. This activity has remained a critical focus of OPENChannel as the organisation has grown and developed throughout its long history.

OPENChannel is located on Victoria St in Fitzroy (Melbourne, Australia) and operates 24 hours a day/seven days a week. The office is staffed during business hours. Staff are available to assist people with inquiries relating to screen culture at the office or by phone or email.
